What is COVID-19?

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, COVID-19 is a disease, caused by a novel coronavirus that has not been seen in humans. Older adults and those who have previous or current underlying medical conditions are at increased risk.

TO-DO's

  • Get a COVID-19 vaccine when it is available to you. 
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water or use hand sanitizer. 
  • Wear a mask when required indoors. 
  • Clean and disinfect daily. 
  • Get tested for COVID-19 if you are experiencing symptoms. 

The following three COVID-19 vaccines are authorized by the U.S> Food and Drug Administration (FDA):

  • Pfizer (two doses) 
  • Moderna (two doses) 
  • Johnson & Johnson (one dose) 

Keep in mind, you or your loved ones are considered "fully vaccinated" two weeks after the final dosage. 

First Set of Guidelines as of April 27, 2021

  • As more poeple are currently receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has created new guidelines for those that are fully vaccinated. 
  1. “Visit with other fully vaccinated people indoors without wearing masks or staying 6 feet apart.”
  2. “Visit with unvaccinated people from one other household indoors without wearing masks or staying 6 feet apart if everyone in the other household is at low risk for severe disease.”
  3. “Refrain from quarantine and testing if they do not have symptoms of COVID-19 after contact with someone who has COVID-19.”
